  • Re: The best remote control ever built!

It's based around an Apple product, therefore I automatically hate it. Beo 5 all the way!!

  • Re: Small but perfectly formed!

So, only five old items, then. Right - 1) Beogram 5000 - my favourite. It's the illumination when you open the lid that does it for me..... 2) Beocom 2000 phone - I can't imagine life without mine. 3) Beocentre 7700 - yes, music centres can sound superb 4) Beolab Pentas. Classic design and stunning sound - why haven't I bought myself a pair

  • Re: Beocord 5000 or 5500 vs. proffesional Tascam Rackmount cassette...

Personally, I think the Beocord 5000 is an undiscovered little gem, and they appear to be worth about £20-£40 on UK eBay at the moment, even in working order!

  • Re: New Vinyl LP's

For vinyl in the UK I can highly recommend - www.stamfordaudio.co.uk www.diversevinyl.com www.htfr.com Also, don't dismiss your local HMV - mine has a surprisingly decent range of new, limited edition 7" 45rpm singles.

  • Went to Struer last week!

As in the title, when an invitation from B&O UK arrived to go and see the factory, meet the key people and have a tour of the newly opened museum, I didn't even have to stop and think. And it was just as fabulous as I suspected it would be. The factory is spotless - you could eat your dinner off the floor of the aluminium processing building

  • CD50 - I am a happy chappie!

Well, after years of trying to buy a decent, working one, I finally bit the bullet and took my lovely condition but non-working Beogram CD50 to Tim Jarman and I have to say, what a guy! I also took him a friend's Sony Walkman Pro WM6DC and I have never known anyone else who, when confronted with a blown and non-availalbe DC to DC convertor, splits

  • Re: Hi-Fi World

Indeed there is - go to www.hi-fiworld.co.uk and you can buy the latest issue online. We're working on back issues too. Thanks for the publicity Peter, and I take your point about the Beogram 5005; I prefer the BG5000 as well but what I was trying to say was that the 5005 is more complicated than the 5000 owing to it being a linear tracker rather
