Hi Stephan, I have also Beolab 5´s. How large is your livingroom? Do you think 20m2 is too small for the speakers? /Martin

Thanks Kawo for your reply. I think the marketing of Beolab 5 is a bit missleading. It says that you can place this speakers everywhere in a room and in any kind of environment. Do you you feel a large difference when you have calibrated the speakers vs. not calibrated them? /Martin

Hi guys, I bought a pair of new Beolab 5 in May this year (before the price-rise). When I first got them I felt that the Bass was very light. I have played at least 300 hours with them since I bought them. Now, I feel that the bass is too much. I have not moved the speakers or changed anything in the room. My room is 5meterx4 meter. I have the speakers

Hi Simon (The Beonic Man), I have the same problem as you do. I have a Beovision 7-40 MarkIII (Sw 5.08) and a Beosound 9000 MarkIII ML-connected to the TV. Sometimes the BS9000 make a "hard-shut-off" but not the tv. Did you find a solution to your shut-down-problem? Is it a ML-problem? Regards Martin

Hi, I talked to my dealer today. New software 7.02 is released for BV7-40 mark III/IV and BS3. It replaces the "old" 6.11. It would be interesting to know what changes is done with the new software. Regards Martin

Hi erg4000, I have placed my labs5 about 25cm from the wall. I can not place them at another way, because my room is rather small (20m2). Do you have a beosound 9000 connected to your labs5?

Thank you soundproof for your advise. It is nice to speak to someone who know theese things. Regards Martin

Hi again, I just feel that the bass-response are much more "alive" generally when using PL than SPDF with my BS9000. My room is about 20m2 and there is very much echo (little furniture and wood-floor) in the room. Maybe it is the acustic situation in the room that the labs5 can´t handle correct. Maybe the BS9000 does "something"

Thanks for your answer soundproof. I have tried three other different CD-players (Marantz, Cambridge and NAD) and used the SPDF to the labs5. Even if the SPDF is a pass-thru the sound is different between the three players. The NAD-player had much more bass than the Marantz. The treble in the NAD-player was not so clear as the cambridge-player. So there

Thank you soundproof for your reply. Do you know IF there maybe are any differences in soundquality between BS9000 Mark I (i have that one) and BS9000 MarkIII when using the digital out(spdf)? Have you tried this two soundoptions(spdf and powerlink) and noticed any sounddifferences with BS9000 and Lab5? Regards Martin
