Ha, ha, ha. True but this piece of plastic clip is not worth the effort of the copycats. :) The minimum wage in Hong Kong will be HK$28 starting in May so prices of the forgeries will be going up. ;) :) I will have to go across the border to the PRC to get it done cheaply after May. Ha, ha, ha.

From the other thread where I am trying to repair the tone arm carriage, I have taken the photos below of the two arms which appear to be corroding or oxidizing toward the front -- the end closest to the viewer. [The pitting in the photos look more like dust particles than oxidation.] Is there any way to repair this or to prevent further deteriorations

Dillen, Any possiblity of finding a replacement piece from a scrap deck? If not, I might try Mika's suggestion. Thanks.

Success at last -- at posting my photos, thanks to help from Keith. Sorry about the size. However, if you click on the photo, a new window opens in which the photo is much more manageable. Hi, all. Photos follow. These show the two metal rods along which the plastic carriage rides. In one of the photos, it is possible to see the jury-rigged screw and nut around which the spring of the white camwheel wire will be hooked. Hmmm, I guess not. Thanks all. I haven't located the piece that has broken off so gluing that back on might not be possible. I will look again for the broken piece just in case I overlooked it the first time. My camera is in the office so I will need to bring that back home tomorrow to take some photos for you all.
