DSM software could need an update from 2.5 to 3.1 and maybe something else.. I think the older BV7 chasis (prior to the beosystem 3 addition) need this updated. Its all dependant on the model number of your unit so ask the dealer or service agent. Beoaus

Check options. Turn all systems off at the wall socket for 10mins or more, disconnect ML cables then re-connect starting with the video slave, audio slave, audio master, video master in that order. test.. Assuming that the options are configured correctly and softwares update are applied if needed. You may need a ML tester to test from here, perhaps

I did not realise these these remotes worked on the B&O frequency. Is there a specific model or do they all work this way? Is ther a list of commands they can send? Thanks beoaus

There was a paper brochure that detailed the progression in remotes and their ease of use. The beolink 1000 then 5000 was mentioned with its simple to use buttons underneath. It was updated and available in some stores right up until 1999. Some sort of notes detailed its ease of use or an award for simplicity as well which may relate to the design study

Sorry to read about the problem. I too was not impressed with the BL9's at normal listening volumes, when cranked up they seemed to improve but that was it. I found them somewhat tiring to listen to, as Peter mentioned... Here is the old thread on the BL1 modifications, perhaps it contains something usefull. I think the chasis is similar. Beolab1

Notice Dave it quite into BL4000's... . Must say that of all the B&O speakers I have owned and listened to the BL4000's have surprised me the most. The reason they do so is they just work anywhere. Not sure if its the components, size of the cabinet or magic elsewhere, I can just listen to them next to my computer, 50cm's away, on a
