  • Re: Potential New Owner

Budget depending, if you like the 3s have you considered 4 x BL3s, front and back, so you have an all ALT set-up . I've just had Lab3's wall mounted as rears and think they look great

  • Re: Favourite song on favourite B&O system?

Currently Gran Turismo on my new lab9s, but all time favourite album is Wish You Were Here

  • Re: Where do you think the BV7 heading - technology-wise

I guess if I think about it, I bought quite a few DVDs when I first got my player, but can't remember the last time I bought one - never mind an HD DVD. All movies I watch now are on Sky so I don't have the urge to spend £10+ on a movie I may only watch once - there's usually something on Sky thats watchable. So maybe I agree with

  • Re: beolab9 or beolab8000 with beolab2

Good luck - you'll not regret it. I had my lab8000s replaced with lab9s yesterday and am rediscovering my CD collection - so much more detail/precision. Currently listening to The Cardigans "Gran Turismo" - so good, and the intro really makes the floor shake (I decided to keep my lab2!!)

  • Re: BV8 - my first view and observations

Pushkin: Not in the same league as the 7.1 but better than its size would suggest and better imo than the 6-26 I thought the BV8 was an entry level so as not to outstage the BV6 - do you think it will price the BV6 out of the market?

  • Re: Where do you think the BV7 heading - technology-wise

FSv2: Well all of the above would be really nice, but since mine is only 2 weeks old, I wouldn't like to see a new version for about another 6 to 8 months TVs are dangerous territory to purchase nowadays as technology is moving so fast - which is impacting resale/trade-in values. I have a BV3/v8000/DVD1/motor stand which essentially has no trade

  • Where do you think the BV7 heading - technology-wise

It seems clear that we're expecting an updated BV7, with 1080p - and some sort of Beosystem3. What about the outdated DVD? Will we see a recordable DVD added? What about HD DVD? Presumably lack of HDMI sockets will be sorted when it gets a Beosystem added. Not sure what is actually known (do we know anything until launch?) and what is speculation

  • Re: BeoCord V8000 used what price?

For the money it (and the DVD1) will fetch I'd rather give away or keep

DiaBandO: Best advise is to visit your dealer and ask for a side by side comparison (with and without BL2) Absolutely the best advice, I got a home demo as that way you'll know how they'll really sound in your own surroundings - we all have different tastes (and rooms) so speakers are a very personal thing. Personally I like a bit of thump in

  • Re: beolab9 or beolab8000 with beolab2

I've had 8000s + lab2 for a number of years and love them - but having heard the lab9s there's no comparison - thoroughly recommend them. I'm upgrading (hopefully install tomorrow ). Having had a home demo, my view is that if its just audio you listen to, the lab9s alone are superb, but if you also watch surround sound movies then I think
