Here is an update information on the DVD2 issue. It wasn't the DVD2. The strange behavior was due to a software problem in the Beosystem 3. I noticed that the lamp on the IR eye of the BV4 didn't turn red after shut-off. I reseted the Beosystem 3 by unpluging the power cable. After the restart both, DVD2 and Beosystem 3 behaved normal.

My dealers B&O technician mailed me that a software update is available which may adress the problems. Did anyone have a software-update for the DVD 2 ?

My DVD 2 shows failures since a few weeks: - The control LED stays green although I shut off the B&O setup - Very slow and lagged handling with the Beo4 (even slower than before !!) - Timer does not record the scheduled movies - Guide plus program survey disappeared from time to time - Restart (unplugging power) doesn't solve the problem My

Has anybody tried to connect OEM LCD's to the Beosystem 3 ? For the Beosystem 3, I would wish a better videoprocessing. Two months ago I was lucky to be one of the first testers of Leica 's new HD Videobeamer for a few days at home. I was surprised to see a loss of quality when I connected the Leica beamer to the Beosystem 3 (Source Apple TV

I agree ! Of course there are always people with too much money. But they are not that stupid. The last four years of B&O development in technology and their price policy was a big disappointment for me. And this dilema was predictable if you followed the forum.

Great thread: Let's save B&O. Here are my suggestions: 1. Add full AV media capability to the Beosound 5 with a hidden CD/DVD/BluRay slotdrive. Make a wireless connection with the Beomaster 5 that should also work as a HD recorder. With this, there is no need for other B&O peripherals. 2. Focus on Beosystem 3. Make Beosystem 3 your main
