I have now arranged reproduction of the alu-frontpanels and I always replace the sidepanels and the black back-front panel with new-painted (the original color of course). The parts looks like this:

A very commen problem of the Beolab 5000 is scratches on the side panels and missing text and scratches on the alu-frontpanels. See this of the Beolab 5000 special:

Here is a full restored rosewood / palisander cabinet for the Beolab, as an example of what is possible.

The Beolab 5000 cosmetic problem and a little about the restoration. The wooden cabinet needs a careful treatment and a couple of minor repairs, which must be done with the original Rio Palisander / Rosewood. The finish is important also. I am always using bee wax which will give a fine smooth surface finish.
