The BS3200 in our home is one of the first models. The harddrive does make some noise in between songs. I can hear this because the unit is placed on ear level 50cm near my seat. A modern harddrive or lets face it a SD drive doesn't have this kind of negative feature. That's why I considered swapping the harddrive for a SD drive... The comment

Here at work the phones are VOIP phones. Once in a while the phone acts weird. - the phone only rings once - the connection fails with the person I talk to. Do you use VOIP?
