Hi it has the right symptons of a relay problem. Correct me if i am wrong, but you can connect 2 sets of speakers. Do you hear nothing on both left and right on the first 2 outputs? Or only one side?

I sanded and repsprayed a set of CX50 which where awfull oversprayed in glossy black I could see they were white when they were new. Woofers had foam rot and and the grill cloth was loose and oversprayed as well. I am not complaining I got them for free. I sanded them and spray them matt black and dusted them with metalic when they were still wet. Sunday

The left side has plenty enough room for very large books BTW it looks like it is in a good condition.

@Leslie : I a have a box of these clips. Just cut them with a rotary drill in the right shape. total legth= 24 mm height= 15 mm. The "hook" length=14 mm height= 6 mm cap is 4 mm

Interesting project. I want to do the same thing. I am looking for schemastics and pinouts. Also I would like to know where to buy the ML connectors preferable on ebay
