  • Re: Yellow slide rules

Thanks for the pics and measurements. That should do the trick.Geoff, sounds like you have a plan,I will follow your lead on this one(again). One thing I forgot to mention, but maybe you have already discovered. When I was polishing the top and bottom edges of the windows,I thought being a narrow edge I could get away with skipping the ten micron sandpaper

That's what I was thinking. If I were to manufacture one I would use Polycarbonate(bullet proof glass)much stronger than standard plexiglass and just as easy to work with.

Thanks Martin Interesting piece. Not too complicated though. It looks like the type of piece that got removed and eventually lost over time.I assume it just has some small tabs that snap in to the grooves to hold it in place? Paul

Stonk: If it's not too much trouble I would love to see a couple pics of one of those covers.I have never seen one before.I guess I would have to see one before deciding if it is worthy task to undertake. Chris:Thanks alot!Actually my camera is not that good and does not even do this thing justice, and of course my original windows were some of the

  • Re: BEOMASTER 3000 VS. BEOMASTER 3000-2

I noticed some subtle differences in circuitry between the 3000 schematic that I downloaded and what I found in the 3000-2 I have.Namely a few different capacitor values.Very minimal though,The engineers probably just refined their circuit design a bit.Someone with more experience than I will likely post also.

Thanks Geoff Really the success of this project should be credited to this forum and especially yourself for taking on the project to begin with.I might have likely just lived with those horrible yellow sliders were it not for the success you already had and the enthusiasim of the folks on the forum. Thanks to all I say! I agree with you on the excellent

Geoff I have a full set completed and hoped to get them installed and post pics. But I ran into a small problem.I realized the top edge(and bottom) will be visible and need to be polished. So I put masking paper on them and hit the edge with sandpaper and the polishing compound. In the process,I smeared the lines on two of them with my finger! The paint

  • Re: Just got a BeoMaster 1900-2 - New to Bang & Olufsen

In regards to antenna choice. I have used Rabbit ear,"Y" shaped dipole, and roof mounted antennas. All work well with my BM2400,which is very similar to your BM1900.The roof mounted VHF/UHF/FM obviously giving the best performance. If you decide on something that uses the very common 75 ohm coax input on your receiver you will need an adapter
