I have a combined ML and MCL system and it works very well. There are even a few advantages as the MCL eyes are two way and transmit data to my BL7000 to a degree, even though my master system is a one way Avant DVD and BC2.

Sounds very strange - clearly it is working to an extent but not fully. I wonder if it is a faulty unit. I actually had problems with mine initially but that was a different type of problem.
