jk1002: I mean let's face it, for most of us this will be far to expensive. if it matches the BL5 in price, it would be a 20k$ device, Plus another 20k$ for the BL5 speaker. I am fine with a 10 or 15k for a stereo but going u to 40 is a very long way. For the Berlin event, nobody says it but it can only be the upgraded BV7 with the BS3 in the back

There are lots of Beomaster 1000s!!! The 2313 is a black key model but has a separate RIAA board! I have the service manual. The 2316 had it integrated into the main board. To connect a gramophone to the 2313 the following is note: A stereo record player with a built in pre-amplifier such as a Beogram 1000 VFand a crystal pick up are connected by depressing

I can see that I will need an extension. Only 5 rooms with linked equipment here!!

I agree - enjoy yourself! I am sure B&O will be very welcoming - I am most jealous!!

Disappointingly little. I would sell the parts separately as you will get more. The MMC4000 is probably worth most if in good condition - maybe £50+ . The speakers are a pleasant bookshelf model but old and the Beocenter is a record and radio based music centre based around the Beomaster 1100. I think I got mine for about £25 without speakers

In the days of B&O making their own, the price differences were actually not that great and I often had the full model range. I do have a Soundsmith cartridge - a SMMC20EN, which is the equivalent

Keith is correct - 100 in 16 zones at present.

The older caps seem pretty resistant! The 70s ones in the M100s were getting tired so Tim measured them and replaced the lot as they had departed from spec quite substantially. The later uniphase range - S80s etc - do seem to have a problem that is more pronounced and replacing these capacitors is almost always a good idea. The actual capacitors in

h1npw: What a fascinating thread! Fascinating for me as I've recently bought a pair of 3800s (awaiting crossover refurb) and I've got a Beosystem 6500 with CX100s + Cona. Peter - I have one or two questions 1. Do you think the midrange units are repairable in the 3800s? 2. Are the M100s better than the MS150s? Cheers Nigel 1. Probably though

I think I heard the capacity was 160 logos - seems like more than enough to me! I have probably got about 20 on mine at present.
