They made it the opposite way around - in "Setup Mode 2" the "Nav. Button" is disabled to be backward compatible ... If you don't use analog
I haven't even SEEN them yet but judging by the positive responses so far I'll get them round to my gaff & see where we go from there. Thanks for the replies so far, it seems like they are worth saving. A quick google tells me these aren't cheap!
The picture shows "Double (stacked) Quads"
If the listening position is fixed then i would face them inwards.
Maybe you should check the the angle in a test set-up. When you remove the covers you'll see the precise direction of your speakers. The axes of both speakers should meet slightly behind your preferred listening position.
I'd ask here first before inviting them into my home
Passion will be necessary! Owned two pairs of them in the 70s - configured as "Double (stacked) Quads" I've to find, scan & post the old polaroids. Delicate speakers in every sense - critical to position - the exact opposite of a BLb5
The Strada's have received some very good reviews ...
There's no accounting for taste ... The proof of the pudding is in the eating ... Find out by yourself if you like them - (potentially) you'll have to live together...
So, in summation and unless I'm mistaken, Beonet is nothing more than substitution from proprietary to open cable standards, with retro fit for existing proprietary connectors.
... for the time being - yes
Anyone know of a good installer in my area?
Top priority
Is anyone on the forum actually using a Beovision 10 with a Beolab 11 to add to the missing bass frequencies? Does it provide an adequate sound set-up for the BV10 in an average sized room?
Yes, 30m² / BV10-40 / BLb11 / no further speakers connected ... soundwise emphatically YES - maybe you should consider

As a first step I would try to find out which component of the system causes the problem - the SAT box or the AVANT. (Crosscheck - using a different sat receiver connected to your Avant)
