I did have a think when servicing my keypad, as three of the clips were broken, but it wasn't enough of a problem to give it a great deal of thought! I might go back to this because I would like to replace the switches altogether, you can hardly feel the tactile response from some of the switches, which I suspect is very similar to along with the

Craig is correct, the remote system in the 4004 is much simpler and not compatible.

As the picture was forming I thought I was seeing one of those ultra rare sphere radios (can't remember the type atm) but I guess they are speakers?!

Is that the 4002 Craig? I didn't see that come up! Looks in good nick with what should be a simple fault. Nice deal! I think you might possibly have the AC motor version with fatter bearing too.. I hope you find a member whom lives in that part of the world!
