At present they are the rears with the 9s. I want to move them into the room with the Avant and use the 6000s as rears but my wife wont let me. She likes the sound the 1s produce as rears and does not think the 6000s are big enough. She has said she would consider allowing 8000s for the rears.

Here is our current set up. Next week a Beovision 7-55 replaces the 7-40 and the Beosound 3000 moves to another room.

In one of his posts in this thread, Geoff Martin said that when AST is active, all 7 speakers will work. I may have to try this next week after new TV is set up.

Crate is here. As you said, it is huge.

Our 7-55 is scheduled to be delivered today by the freight company. Dealer wont be here until next Monday to set it up so will have to spend almost a week staring at the two crates it and the stand will be in.
