I had some problems with product quality a few years back. Based on these comments, I wonder if B&O North America (or employees thereof) sometimes try to sell returns as new. I bought a phone, supposedly "brand new, unopened box" and it had dead batteries installed and phone numbers programmed. I bought a horizontal stand for my BS9000

I sometimes grab a bunch of songs from the iTunes "party shuffle" playlist and download to BS2. You need a mac, however. Stan

Beo: so do you mean you recommend beosound 3 for radio function? Yes, assuming "radio" means FM (not AM or DAB). It is the best tuning radio that I own, followed by my BS1 (this used to be better before I had it serviced because it could not read a CD I owned - it is an early model), followed by my BS9000 (I'm going to blame the antenna

Beo: well, from my feeling, I feel that the sound quality of radio on beosound 3 is poorer than the on-line radio of the same channel. Beosound 3 gives a little bit more noise, and a little bit sound distortion. Is it related to the limitation of radio signal transfer??? Do you have any ideas on this? This is definitely not my experience. My BS3 can

I've had my Bs3 for approx 9 mos, and still very much like it. I keep it plugged in as a kitchen radio and carry it outside for pool/patio. I've not yet run the batteries to full discharge... I have no reason to not believe the published specs on battery life (6 hrs, I think). This could easily be conservative because I'm pretty sure I've

In my strictly biased opinion, it *is* the best *portable* radio available today. Focus on the portable. If you don't think you'll have the need to carrying it around much, buy the BS1. I have both. The BS1 is fixed in my office. I use my BS3 in the kitchen and outside by the pool and patio. Plenty of power for these uses, and I've never

Don't know... It must be coming fairly soon as I have been invited to an exclusive preview at my local B&O store next week (unfortunately, I cannot attend). However, the invite only says it will be available "later this year". Stan

Too bad it is not shipping yet (the US one... scarts are not usually found here). I'd been holding off buying an appleTV because I didn't want to buy a new TV. Problem solved (eventually).

I haven't heard the 9s (nor 5s - I'm afraid of what may happen to my financial health so I've been avoiding), but I had a similar experience with the BL3s (on their floor stands - btw, I'm tall). Standing was just OK, sitting was very good. I recall something about ALT limiting the vertical dispersion of the sound waves. Something about

I have and love a BS9000. However, the wife wants to "re-do" the room. The BS4 has a smaller footprint (and, with my BLPC2, I don't use the multi-CD capability all that much) which might make the wife happier. Me, I'm always looking for an excuse to buy something new, however, I'm a little worried that I'd be giving up some
