Do you know what's causing the problem? Six sets between us - design fault maybe?
They did tell me the problem was "known" when my BV7-40 MKIV was replaced with another panel. ie. there is a hardware issue with the TV that causes the screen problem. Problem is, it was so long ago now I can't
I had no issus with the tv before the update...
Then how did you get your dealer to organise the update? Here in the UK B&O will only software upgrade your TV if you experience a known issue. They won't just come around and install for free. It's possible to pay for a couple of hours of engineering

I also agree that the BL5s were outstanding, but there is a "problem" with then when you sit them on flexible wooden flooring. When my BL5s arrived (second hand) they were clearly pre-configured and sounded amazing. A few monts later, I stupidly decided to re-configure and take an analysis of my sitting room. That really affected the performance
I could live with humming noise...
My point was, that this humming noise isn't actually that bad. My TV room is fairly quiet and, yes, I can hear the noise, but it doesn't really affect me. The PS3 and other devices have far louder fans. I'm trying to say that you might be on a losing battle here
Anybody else had this problem?
Yes. My first MKIV had this problem and was replaced within a month with a brand new set. This was then replaced with a third set in January 2010! I've had three MKIVs in 8 months. The latest MKIV is fine. Are you 100% sure they are replacing the panel? I'm always wary
Before i had a tv with humming noise and a lot of other flaws, but the picture was perfect. Now i got a tv without humming noise...
My MKIV has all of these issues, but I've just learnt to live with them. IMHO if you go looking for them, you'll find them. As we spent so much money on our TVs, I think
...but I noticed on watching a UKTV programme that on facial close-ups, the faces sometimes seemed smeary as they moved
UKTV is one of the worst examples of a quality broadcast! Your TV can't improve a poor broadcast. The bandwidth allocated to these channels is fairly low, so you get some distortion and
The price could be close the 8-40... Seems like they will show it to the dealers in September, but a release date is stated yet (but Oct/Nov seem reasonable based on previous experience).
Thanks Roger. One question - you hinted that the BV10-32 might have a different frame (or different quality build), due to
Do you find that on your IT Forums the awards go to deserving winners? Lee
Good question. None of us receive an award, even though we answer most of the questions. However, there is a lot of input from general members (who, perhaps, really want to become moderators). I guess they see this as a step towards promotion

Perhaps B&O should do that more often (release this kind of info)? Does make you sit up and think about the amount of work that goes in to making each TV. Quite a few man hours involved.
