If you really want to keep these machines alive, what about a good review of each deck mentioned? These can be added to the site and will encourage others. A warts and all review is best rather than just gushing praise - the Beocord 5000 T4715 for instance is a marvel of engineering but is also the least reliable piece of kit every produced by B&O

Thanks to sajpratty, we now have an excellent review of these speakers on site . More reviews like this are always welcome. I can edit and add links to any content I am sent.

All contributions are very welcome whether you have 1 or10,000 posts. Some of our most informative posters contribute only rarely but the site would be a poorer place without them. This site has never been plagued by trollish behaviour which seems to be a feature of many sites. I like my BeoTime and note is becoming more sensitive with time! It now

The MCL2P is a good amplifier with a very nicely designed circuit. It will just work. If critical, I would say it lacks dynamics compared to the best amplifiers but I use the same amplifier in an ML/MCL converter to power my upstairs speakers and am perfectly happy with this. The Beomaster 7000 I used to use was better though. I cannot really advise

The cable you show will work fine - as it says, it will work with a normal integrated amplifier but you will need to use the volume control of the onkyo. The Quad 405 is the correct power amp - You need to as Nigel or Graham, but I think a five pin DIN will plug between the two to work.

The picture of the BV10 is better - on HD it is a lot better - on SD, not a lot to choose. The BV10 seems to be missing lower midrange/presence in my opinion. the detail is wonderful - very clear but i find it sounds thin and this is despite it being part of a surround system. It didn't suit me. The BV5 is slightly better soundwise than the Avant

It is against eBay rules to distribute copyright material on CDRs. You can of course sell the originals but they do not have them - I do! We are not selling manuals - we merely provide mine as a library open to silver and gold members - and I have the originals in most cases here. Some were given to me by B&O!

Don't buy a new one - a second hand one is fine! I gave mine to another member a few years ago. The reason the Quad 405 is popular is that it has lots of power and has a DIN input!

Perfectly sensible questions. It does sound as though a BL11 may be better for you with your neighbours. You can turn the subwoofer down via the TV and can also use the settings on the subwoofer itself. I have a BL2 and find it great for TV. I agree that it is a bit too much for music though for my tastes. I had a BV10 and found that even with a BL2

You need a power amplifier only. If the onkyo has an input so you can connect the BS3000 and bypass the pre-amplifier, you are OK. Otherwise you need to sort out something else. A MCL2P would be the obvious choice as this will simply connect via a powerlink cable.
