  • Re: Beocenter 9000 has stoped reading CDs. Please help.

Philips does not produce caps anymore, the production is now done by BC and I think that is changed to Vishay now.

  • Re: Is the Beosystem 7000 still a good buy?

BeoSystem 6500 and BeoSystem 6500 are almost the same and both very reliable, except the BeoCord. The early BeoCord 6500 had the same tape-mechanism as the BeoCord 5500 and the BeoCenter 9000. The later BeoCord 6500 and the BeoCord 7000 had the later mechanism which is not as reliable as the first version. You can see the difference from the outside

  • Re: Masterlink hi-fi

BeoCenter 8000 is an exception, this "cheapest" version did not have any LINK compatibility. And BeoCenter 2300 / 2300 can also be connected to a Masterlink system using a converter.

  • Re: What exactly is it?

Must be a 1610, the special ML kit for the first version of the AV9000. The cable to connect to the jig is a special one. I have not tried to make one, but I think I am going to try. But you also need the BeoCom Service Tool to use it!

  • Re: Beocenter 7700 Overhaul

The problem with the record player is I think a well known problem. There is a very small metal pin going from the underside of the record player top plate to the upper side at the rear of the tone-arm. This is the arm-lift. This pin is for lowering the arm to the record. After several years the grease that is used for lubricating the pin dries up and

  • Re: What exactly is it?

If I look at the label on the software IC I think it is a T1610, if I did see it right. What does it exactly say on the label? The second one is a service jig for uploading software to a BeoCom 6000 handset and base, MKI.

  • Re: BM 8000 CPU: cut traces?

I once had the shield of the shielded cable disconnected at the connector, so the connector was connected in the right way, but the tuner did not work. So when checking, also have a look at that!

  • Re: BM 5500 / Beolab 4500

  • Re: Beomaster 6500 lightening damage

I think you have a broken microprocessor in your BeoMaster. I have been able to fix a BeoMaster 6500 which was struck by lightning, the tuner and microprocessor were broken. I have managed to get the microprocessor repaired (had to replace a lot of components) and I think I replaced the tunerboard. I think you might have to get the BeoMaster repaired

  • Re: BM 5500 / Beolab 4500

De BeoLab 4500 heeft net zoals alle uitvoeringen van de Penta een Speakerlink aansluiting. Je kan ze dus gewoon met Speakerlink op de BeoMaster 5500 aansluiten.
