I would choose an Apple TV for MP3 playback (and some video playback as a bonus, but a ps3 with blu ray is far superior...) over a Sonos... Both systems aren't compatible with the puc, but both systems allow you to choose easily your music with an iPod touch/iPhone or (for the Sonos) the proprietary touch screen remote. Then you are able to play

I think that it was on a financial report that B&O stated that the 10 will be based on the 8 technology, with another speaker and design... Maybe it was a news from an insider, not sure. But that fact is sure. Concerning the 2 sockets, I was hoping that B&O could change only the last circuitry in the bv8 chassis to add some sockets without any

I have to admit that you didn't choose the easiest solution as : 1. The PS3 is not the best mp3 player on the market concerning ease of use... 2. You could have put a 1Tb hard drive directly INSIDE your PS3 and filled it with your music instead of searching complexity with a NAS (but as you also want to play video, I see the utility of a NAS) 3

I use a WD My Book world, and I have no cuts on high definition movies (I do not watch SD on it). Maybe you must look at your connection settings befor buying another NAS, which will surely give you the same issue (as the WD also use Twonky Media to act as a DLNA server). Scott : concerning Twonky Media, as far as I know, it is a free open source software

There will be no sound by connecting the Mac Mini display port to the BV8 with the Apple adapter, just because there is no sound output on the Apple display port. You have to connect the digital out of the mini (optical) to the SPDIF in of the BV8 via an optical to coax converter (very small, simple and cheap component).

Movie rental is not available here in France... Concerning SACD, when you look at the front plate of the PS3 where all the logos of the supported technologies stands, there is no SACD logo... So I'm quite sure that the slim doesn't support those discs.

It seems that the router has been set to limit the access to a determined list of devices (identified by their MAC adress, nothing Mac related here...) That quite frequent : ISPs make that for two reasons: a) Improving security b) Billing the customer for a technician each time he buys a new computer/wifi accessory So what you have to do is go to the

It's now official : -Less noise -34%less power consumption -No support for PS2 games http://www.engadget.com/2009/08/18/sony-debuts-slimmer-ps3/ And note that a video on demand service will be available "this year", with "hundreds of movies to rent or purchase, in SD or HD". Let's hop that the prices will be low...
