sinuhe: I have a Mac and BS4. If I connect these two with Beoport, I know I'll be able to control the music in iTnus by the BS4. But will iTunes then be able to stream the music to AirPortExpress stations in my "poor man's link system"? Or will the BS4 in this scenario act as some sort of a master, preventing the multi - room streaming

I'm at wits end. My mac-mini started screwing up in an odd way (dock wasn't showing, couldn't do a restart) that appeared permission related so I tried to repair permissions. The error I receive is something like Disk Utitlity has "Lost Connection" with Disk Management tool" Please quit Disk Utility. When I look in at the

Coolskin: Nicholas: So is it just a heavily glorified Airport Express? Nicholas Yes Except that I cannot use my Beo4 to control my Airport Express. Wireless can change sources, correct? Stan

There are defintely 2 different models. The BeoPort IR is/was also used with the BeoSystem2. I remember this well because the dealer and I went "around and around" with this when I originally bought my PC2. The dealer claimed there was no IR for the PC2 (showing the the difference in connection between the "standard" IR connector

Instead of looking at the PCB, you should look at the front. The "BeoPort" IR has only up and down arrows while the Link Room IR has up, down and timer. Stan

On the PC platform each song had its own number - but it seems that in the bm-link application each Artist has its own number (also controlled by pressing left and right arrow on beo4 it seems to jump to next artist). Can I get bm-link to assign

I've also seen that it takes a "docking" or two to make songs appear in iTunes. With mine, the charger alternates between red and green with subsequent dockings. It takes a "red" (I think, I could have this mixed up) docking to rebuild the index that iTunes uses to show tunes... at least this is my theory... I've never done

B&Ola: Is it possible to set/change option with a mac/BM-link (have no IR-eye connected) /Ola Yes and no. There is no screen that allows one to enter the option numerically. However, there are configurations settings that you can make that will change the option settings. In BM-Link 1.0 (what I have installed), you can set option 4 (so the IR responds

Gatex: Can I use the Beoport in my home-office with my Windows powered PC and by plugging in my Beolab 8k ? Can it act like a "master" ? The PC2/BeoPort can act as a master.

Razlaw: I listened to the 9s at the dealer but unfortunately it was difficult to tell how they sounded due to a large fountain in the atrium outside the store making large amounts of noise. However, what we we could hear, did not impress us. I think I may have just listened to them at the same store with the same impression (fountain is too loud, speakers
