Hi Ignace Yes it is set to multiple displays! There are 3 actually. I don't need the multiple displays, I only use the laptop screen. Is it possible to change that setting to one display only. I'm using windows XP Pro Thanks for your reply, it makes perfect sense. Regards B

Having a problem with my laptop! I set the screen resolution to 1023 x 768 (Which is recommended by the manufacturer as well) Problem is 99% of the time the computer will almost be finished booting (correct screen resolution will be showing) when it will reset itself to to the lowest resolution! I have tried everything! Once or twice it'll load

The Lasers on the 9000 have started to give problems and there are no replacements. So if you can't fix it then you're stuck with a unit that can no longer play cd's. 4500 hasn't been giving any laser problems that I know of. They are both beautiful items but I think that 4500 is a better bet especially as you know its in good condition
