That is exactly where I was leading Chris. I have always found that the 7cm set down is the critical adjustment and much coarser. Get that right and the 30cm one is not far off. The carriage does not move fully to the right, even when the adjustments are correct.

How is the set down for the 17 cm setting?

Serious questions. How do you live in your property with just one remote? Do you carry it with you wherever you go in the property? What happens if you get into bed to listen to some NMUSIC or NRADIO and realise that you have left the remote downstairs? I have Beo4/Beolink1000 scattered all over the house. I am never more than 2 or 3 metres from a remote

You would do much better by studying eBay for a week or two to get an idea on prices and then decide on a course of action.

Tracking weight is adjusted via a slider which can be seen between the two arms and is adjusted from under the playing arm. Should be set to 1.2g It may be that your stylus is u/s or the suspension in the cartridge has gone hard after some years of non use?

No, You won't find it unless you open the deck up. I get the impression that this could all end in tears. Almost exactly as I predicted I'm afraid! You can get a DIN to RCA adapter cable from SoundsHeavenly who advertise at the bottom of this page. Your local B&O dealer will be able to get the deck looked at if you don't feel able to do it yourself.

It is inside the deck under the outer metal disc! I suggest that you take some time to study the service manual at length. One wrong move could be costly.
