  • Re: Beomaster 6000 4 Channel

Agree - but a Beomaster 2000 of the same era would probably be better still! Especially in white. That, along with the Beomaster 2200, is one of the real sonic stars of the B&O range. Loads of power, direct coupled and interesting designs.

  • Re: Beo5 - + STB not that great

The whole point of the Beo5 is that it can be customised to fit your situation. If there is a way of working your STB with a Beo4, then it is possible to work it with less key strokes with a Beo5. If you have a Beo4, work out what key strokes are needed to achieve what you want, write them down and go back to your dealer. He will reprogram the Beo5

One that works and that is in good condition will be expensive. Most are neither and are still expensive! I would change my mind and get the Beolab/Beomaster 5000 which sounds a lot better and is wonderful! Also at the very top of the B&O tree as far as build quality goes. Others may disagree (Fabian!) and I do accept that it is a stunning piece

  • Re: Signal levels in MCL

The 1611 is a Beolink converter and this converts Datalink to ML. This is useful when attaching an older audio system to a newer TV for instance but does not involve MCL. You need the big black box!! There is quite a useful manual on site about MCL that explains how most things work and the relationship between amplified volume and the output of the

  • Re: Beolab 4000 vs BL5

Music can astound even through a cheap Japanese boombox! I have a Sony radio cassette in the kitchen that sounds wonderful - because through pure fluke it is well situated and the room seems to enhance its sound. In the hall, it is just OK. Beolab 4000s are excellent small speakers and produce an unfeasible amount of bass for their size: in fact I sometimes

  • Re: Signal levels in MCL

Master Control Link 2 is the system that your 6500 uses. It distributes sound at speaker amplified level from the Speaker 2 outputs. If passive MCL2A speaker kits are used, the volume in the main room will be the same as the link room. Now we come to the more complicated scenarios! 1. MCL2AV or Active speaker kit. This essentially steps down the amplified

Ridax is a member of Beoworld rather than a make! Look here for what I mean. I think it is exactly what you want!

I am sure they are the same - though obviously the 3500 ones are not available either.

  • Re: BeoWorld Presents... Serenata!

clifft: Oh Gawd!!! Reading these posts on the Serenata and seeing the B & O website about it, the Beovirus has kicked in and I HAVE TO HAVE ONE!!!!! I was just thinking about getting a new iPod as the current one I have mainly stays in the glove box of my Lexus wired into the stereo system of the car, and I wanted an extra one as a portable. Then
