Looks like the rear cover is missing as well. The picture on Beoworld seems to be my Beomaster 7000! I have seen this used on eBay to sell AV7000s in the past!!
-
It does support older products but they are not listed in the software. Pretend they are Ouvertures and you will be fine!! Works my 9500 and 5500 no problem and also my LX6000.

Mine is attached via the DTS on my Avant - it has the advantage that it is easy to switch off! I'll have a go connecting it differently - it will be a couple of days as it is my wedding anniversary today! It just gives too much bass and sounds boomy at higher volumes. As part of the AV set up, it is superb.

You are a gold member - there are literally over 1000 manuals on the site! Both service and user manuals and lots on the Avant and BC1. If there are any you particularly need, I can try to find them for you. They are much easier to download that getting them sent as most are quite big!

I can't hear the difference either. But the protection circuit is better. However if yours are 10 years old, you clearly have a good pair!!

I did have a brilliant idea but my execution failed. I tried to get the picture of the Beo5 showing on the screen of the Serenata but my PC wouldn't play ball! The picture is somewhere on the phone but probably in the wrong folder! I can access the music folders but despite my Mac thinking the Serenata is a camera, I don't seem to be able to

I am using a 5500 system but I can see a way to do this! The A.Aux socket which goes to the BS9000 is at line level and you can tap into that for the headphone amplifier. I think it will be pin 3 and 5 for left and right and 2 for ground. You should be able to make up a cable with 7 pin din sockets at either end and a tap with RCA plugs in the middle

The digital link to the speakers will come from the digital source - such as a CD player. The Beosystem 3 will connect via Powerlink for control purposes and when a non digital source is playing I believe!

I told you not to do that!! I was planning to get some 9s till I heard the 5s against them! No comparison!! Next time I have some spare cash.... They are not that child unfriendly. Just tested the WAF - not good I am afraid! My wife says a pamper weekend in a posh spa could persuade her!
-
Just measured mine - 45 x 38 x 8 cm it is!! I didn't weigh them!!
