  • Re: Worst Bang & Olufsen product ever designed?

Chrisreunion: Since the question was about the worst product ever designed, I would vote for BeoCom 6000, I can't stand this phone, I bought a BeoCom 4 because I found it much more "logical". For me BeoCom 6000 is only plastics, complete asymmetry with that triangular base (what function has a triangle on a phone?), and a handset designed

britops: Duffy Rockferry is on repeat play at the moment. Love it, great album. Always makes me smile hearing that album title. Apparently she picked the name based on the place of the same name on the Wirral (i can only assume she had never actually been there) The single below shows RockFerry station on the cover Only it it isn't Rock ferry at

  • Re: CRT Monitor/CRT Televison Resoloutions

It depends how good you need the picture to be! An LCD TV will have much lower resolution than an equivalently-sized LCD computer monitor, This is why inch-for-inch they are still much more expensive. 24" widescreen PC monitors are now beoming affordable (under £400) and (I assume) you will be able to get an adaptor to play your Xbox 360

CRT Televisions lack the resolution to be used as computer monitors, sadly this isn't changed by having sa very new one! Simon

355f: Puncher: moxxey: RussR: A Rolex Daytona has been mentioned here, I keep mentioning cars, but someone else mentioned the BMW M3 already. What did they cost then? What about now? When I was in Graduate school a Rolex Daytona could be had for $1,500USD. Who cares what they cost or whether you (or I) can afford them! People buy them and still buy

  • Re: Beocenter 7000 turntable won't start - another question

Thanks to everyone for all your suggestions. It's working again for now! I turns out to be a mechanical problem. I remember form years gone by that some turntables with belt drives need a helping hand to get started by pushing them gently round with a finger on the label if the belt was on it's way out. This turned out to need quite definite
