Open the doors and pull the mains out before they close. One door at a time, pull the outer edge of the door towards you until it comes free. Repeat with the other door. Correct John. I have used a Quad405-2 with my Beocenter 9000 and it is a fantastic amplifier. At least 100wpc into just about any load. The OP will need a speacial lead which steve@sounsheavenly.co.uk can make up at very fair cost.

I am sure that the wiring instructions for the eye mention that the supplied length of cable (5m ?) should be neither shortened or extended in order to maintain a certain capacitance . I am not certain just how critical this is. Keith will know better and can probably explain.

In my humble opinion, the centre bearing is not easily replaceable as it is pressed into the chassis. Much easier to just change the chassis.
