It's an Avant issue by the sounds of things, possibly the DSM, but I would leave that up to your dealer to decide! It's going to need a service unfortunately

Not exactly a movie, but I found this on the BBC news website .

The 7-40 will be quite a step up. It's an entirely different TV on the inside. The upgrades to the 7-32 will bring it very near the connectability and performance of the 7-40 mk3.

FWIW, mounting a TV over a fireplace is just about the worst thing you can do. Firstly, the heat can reduce the lifetime of plasma displays, and secondly, it's just a pain to watch - literally! You will find yourself developing neck pains...

Probably my B&W DM7s! I can understand why I did it now, and it does give me a chance to use my DM303s, which are IMO better. The DM7s were just stunning with choral & organ music and movies though. Never sold any B&O, other than a pair of CX100s which I gave away (and a BM4000 and S25s).

I can't say I've ever tried powering down the BD35 through the PUC controller. TBH, it's not something I'd worry about, although it's something you might. The last time I checked (which was a few weeks ago), the BD35 wasn't on the PUC controller list, so a software update from your dealer would do nothing. I'll try and find out if anything is happening

It's on the right hand side of the disk tray, but to the left of the lettering. I think it's *just* to the left of the first logo on the top. FWIW, I've found the 'Generic Panasonic Blu-Ray option works fine in the PUC controller.

You don't have to run your BeoLab 8000s off it - the two can act independently.

It's possible but it wouldn't sound very good! The 3500 relies on an EQ curve to produce a good response. You could wire it up if you wanted, but he would probably be better off selling the 3500 and buying a good set of passive speakers instead. Just out of interest, why the whole 'centralised amplifiers' idea?

Definitely a Goodmans tweeter. It's the same as the one used in my Goodmans Ministers.
