I find that if I import a CD with iTunes then copy to SD card I don't get this problem? It only happens with tracks from other sources. I think. Maybe thats the key? Where are you getting your Mp3's from?

The same SD card in my BeoSound 3 will do just the same. So its the info on the card that seems to be the problem. I blame the Mac.

Me too. I think its the Mac (I have a Mac too). I thought it could be temp files that the BS4 could see ???. On my current SD Card I play tracks up to say 50 then it counts to track 101 then continues to play again. Its always done it for me especially if its a compilation, funnily it doesnt if I make an folder with a single CD I've imported.

Thanks Keith. I should have made myself a bit clearer. I use a Mac but was planning on running Windows Vista on it for the purpose of being able to use BeoPlayer. The only PC I have is an old laptop with Windows 98 on. I just wanted to see if it was worth using before buying Vista and installing the dreaded operating system on my Mac. However another

I've had a BeoSound 4 for some time now and still can't fault it. SD cards are very cheap these days and mine has an Apple Airport Express connected to it for wireless iTunes. I can also use the SD cards in my BeoSound 3, which I'd recommend you buy too.

I dont have a BeoPort yet, I just wanted to see BeoPlayer first on my old laptop.

v4.61 on B&O's site requires W2000, XP. Could someone direct me to a Win98 version please.

SKY+ have 3 types of PVR, Amstrad, Thomson & Pace boxes. All SKY+ boxes have the SKY+ logo on them. All work with Beo4. A SKY card has to be matched to the box, so you cant try your card in another box. Sky sell a box and a card without subscription at this l ink
