IT = Improved Teletext. The very first MX7000s would use a Beolink 5000. I don't like the DVD2 much because it doesn't integrate as well as it should. The HDR2 seems a more sensible device - I would personally get one of those and a cheap Panasonic DVD-R to archive the few recordings I wanted to keep.

A number of us would debate that much changed except the reliability - which is obviously worth it!

The advice above is good - but I would suggest that if you are not experienced in electronics, that you get someone to do this for you. It requires very fine soldering and a mistake could be quite expensive!

Well it shows that the IR emitter on the 7000 works and that the receiver on the 5500 works. The fault seems to be either with the receiver on the 7000 or the emitter on the 5500. Do you have a link system? Does the 7000 work in a link room? If it does, the 5500 has a fault. If not, the 7000 receivers need attention. Tricky job! I believe one of our

I didn't think the tuner would work in the US. You will need to use a set top box as at a guess you have a PAL type TV.Even if it uses the same transmission type, there can be problems. My LX6000 came from Germany and needed a new sound card to work in the UK. The STB does all the clever decoding and will send a standard signal to the TV. You will

I agree with you. I would however not be too disappointed! The DVD2 is not all I would have hoped for!

It is true I am afraid. No idea of the exact reason but the only MX models that will work are the 8000 and the 4200 because these use the BV1 chassis rather than the original MX one.

The service manual for most of these speakers are on site for silver and gold members. I think this is probably what you want though!
