While you have got the soldering iron out why not make your own short (6cm?) male > female jack lead. You could use some sturdy wire so things might just last longer, then at least it is the small extension that gets trashed and not the headphone plug...

Not sure who is the greater danger to themselves tbh, you or Lee

And mamerls are what, Funghi?
People are amazing there's no denying this! We are more like animals than we realise sometimes!
That's probably because we ARE animals

Wow, and to look at the gold star award on the side makes you realise how they either beg people to leave 5 starts or non at all, (don't you hate that!!!!) or the system ebay uses is fatally flawed***!! There are a lot of items on ebay that don't meet the description atm... I think in hard times people simply get more and more desperate...

That's superb Chris, you can have a go at mine which are bashed on the front corner

Hi folks I would like one of these but can't really justify purchasing one (haven't seen on ebay for ages anyway!) at the moment so I have an idea... If there is a fellow Beoworlder who has one of these remotes, and will be willing to recieve a Sony learning remote from me, so that they could teach it the various buttons, then return to me all

I used to be astonished by what I saw at my local tip, although no B&O as yet. Now a bunch of big fat reception types hang out on 12 hour shifts, tax free profits and unlimited dumping grounds so the chances of picking up anything good is next to zero now :(

Is there no reason you can't aquire a magnetic cap from another player and manually clamp the cd? Not elegant but it would save the thing until a spare comes up!

bloody heck Lee Is that a popular sport down south? Reminds me of that lad who used industrial glass suckers to stick himself to the back of one of those bullet-type trains in Germany @Chris we always get snow that melts as soon as it hits the ground! So annoying. Not a bad thing in many ways, I discovered a great hill during our white period recently
