  • Re: BS5 Any news???

But Jandyt, I love kittens! And not just with a nice vinegar-based North Carolina style B-B-Q sauce. Haven't you noticed my new avatar? I have a cat which was once a kitten. Here, let me see if I can attach a photo....

Soundproof, do you have a price quote on the Liin system you pictured? I would love to know how much mor it costs than the purported $5KUSD usually mentioned for the BeoSound 5...then we can begin to take wagers on wether B&O can do a prettier job on the hardware and the software. I'm going to just jump in here and guess 'yes.' Russ

Right you are camshaft! Heaven knows the uproar which would erupt here if we were to start making fun of the Frogs. Or perhaps not. I think part of this discussion might be slightly off the mark...I certainly see how Apple (as the best example), established a closed eco-system for iTunes/iPod, especially as it applied (past tense) to purchased-downloaded

  • Re: Turning off BS3200

OK, well I am going to assume that you meant to ask if the backlight can be turned off while the 3200 is in use...in which case the answer would be 'No, not without using a hammer." If your 3200 has its backlight on while it is in standby then you do, indeed have a service issue...or a very rare 'land of the midnight sun' edition. Russ

  • Re: Is it worth buying a B&O TV anymore? A thought for the day.

The Beonic Man: I am lost! This thread has gone mad. I really think that the short answer to the original question is "If you are buying a new TV because you want a new TV, then perhaps you could wait...if you are buying a new TV because you need a new TV (for instance if your country is about to turn off all analog broadcasting, or kittens have

Roger: Please look after the kitten! We wouldn't want it to go on a Safari and meet a Tiger or a Leopard Roger I don't want to sound alarmist, and I have stopped wearing aluminium hats, but I think there is a tiger in my computer, and it must have eaten the leopard that lived there before...I am tempted to make a joke about the jaguar burning

RussR: Don't get me or the kittens wrong. We're major Apple fans, but the BeoSound 5 has convinced us that the experience is still best left to the pros. That is all the kittens feel comfortable sharing right now. I will share more as memos are released from the basket. I think it rather clear that a couple of sets of kittens are comingling

Mark, This is an excellent point, but the kittens would like you to rest assured that the BeoSound 5 will be every bit the "home run" many BeoPhiles are seeking. The kittens have been looking for a multimedia device for their basket and strongly considered the AppleTV, but having seen the BeoSound 5 (again, the kittens saw it and not me),

  • Re: Extending my B&O System

peterjacobs: Hi all, Current system is BV5 (2002), Lab5s, Lab3s, BS9000 (and B&O recommended Panasonic DVD with DVD Controller). I am thinking about getting a DVD2 (mainly so that I can have DVD playback from my UK collection of DVDs but also want to add a projector and drop down screen for the occasional weekend movie nights !. I understand the

Not entirely fair Peter, Consider the depth of any other manufacturer's motorized floor stand for their LCD TV's, and I think you'll find them to be similar in size. B&O have chosen to allow the spce needed to turn and tilt the TV to dictate the size of the stands and bracket. The width of the screen, then, dicttes how far from the wall
