  • Re: Mac mini mediacenter

The part that doesn't work when you have a Mac+BeoPort in a link room is using *just* the BeoPort to listen to master source audio (i.e. CDs, Radio on your BS3000, BS9000, BS4, etc.). You can do this with a PC+BeoPort, but not with the Mac (unless this has been changed in a BMLink upgrade in the last year or so). To do this, you need a Mac+BeoPort

  • Re: Wireless B&O

My dealer told me that it sounds great and most of his customers love it and have no problem with interference from a WiFi network and/or Beocoms (just don't put any of the equipment too near the microwave oven). On the other hand, when the wireless was first introduced, there was much complaining on this forum about problems with interference.

  • Re: Wireless B&O

Yeah, I figured BeoPort was too much, but I'm interested in connecting a Wireless to BeoActive to switch my BL speakers between link sourced audio and local, non-B&O audio via the PC-in port (that doesn't seem to exist on the wireless). Any clue on this? Thanks again, this is very helpful information you have supplied. Stan

Flappo The Grate: unfortunately for bno , people DO know what they want the general populace are much more intelligent and discerning than they believe , good lord , what a condescending attitude they show their arrogance is outrageous ! with the internet it's very easy to find out aboot the competition's products and compare features and price

The Stig - ver. 1.5: Yes with the new SW for BL Wireless all thats need is a ML Cable in the receiver end to. Yes BL3500 has a PL socket for use with BL wireless but it's not need anymore. So does this mean that you can put a BeoPort, BeoActive or BeoPassive at the receive end? Thanks, Stan

The Stig - ver. 1.5: Any product with an ML connection can be used with BL Wireless now. Are you sure? The wireless manual (on bang-olfusen.com) only shows speakers being connected to the powerlink sockets. It also shows that the ML connection is for the transmit end. I guess it doesn't say the ML connection cannot be used on the receive side, but

  • Beolink active / wireless 1 question

In one of those "gloom and doom" threads (which has ended and I don't want to start it again, especially since this question is off the topic of that thread anyway), the user "Frank Rizzo" said "you can connect your non BnO TV to the active very easily with a PC Input adapter......and it'll switch back an forth between

  • Re: Beoport with IR Eye and Beo 4000 and BM-Link problems

Unfortunately I believe the behavior you describe is "as designed". I'm not familiar with BM-Link 1.5, but in previous versions (if I recall correctly), BM-Link did not support playing "other sources" via the beoport. BM-Link was designed to push iTunes into B&O, nothing more. The solution to this (a few years ago when I

  • Re: The End Of Bang&Olufsen ?

After mulling this today, I think BeoLiving should be the vehicle for extracting more money from customers like me. I've got what I need in one room, but not necessarily the entire house. The missing piece that is that there is no entry level, linkable TV. I think there was an MX-something in Europe, but not here in the States. I also think others

  • Re: The End Of Bang&Olufsen ?

I used to be fairly regular around here, but my interest in the forum (as well as the brand) has waned over the months because: 1) I have what I like, and I'm not sure what products would cause me to change this perspective - maybe a BS3 with an AUX input (not a company saving product, I'm sure... but not a bad "entry level", perhaps
