in the bedroom i have an old avant with some Lab6000`s.....i cannot for the life of me get this to turn on with the Mini as the source....
As your Mac mini is recent, you've connected it to the BV7 using HDMI or DVI. Beovisions are not able to distribute digital video or digital sound. That is why you cannot
I do think B&O did put (some?) pressure on the writer
He explained he did not have any B&O to test since he move to california. We have since learned the B&O did indeed gave him some hardware so that he could test.
I love linkplayer btw
Me too ;-)
i never understood why b&o, since the beginning of creating their software, only have focused on windows user.
This is because the former CEO did not like Apple, also they had seen stats saying that Apple's market share was 4%. Because they were a small company they thought they could not afford doing
-
Although many still see Apple as a company making niche "premium" products, Apple itself does not see itself that way and they are trying to push as many product as they can into our hands. Associating themselves with B&O would reinforce this image that they are trying to get rid of. I actually think that Apple will eventually kill B&O

Ok, I do not know a Wifi > IR box. The ML Gateway however is connected to the ML bus and can in theory control all the devices in every room. So from an iPhone app, that would connect to a single ML gateway via wifi, you could control every room, even if you're in a different room... and with 2 way communication ;-) To answer RAGH/Roy's question
-
How much does the MCL Gateway cost btw?
£1800 !!! ouch....
and does the link command need to be directed at the IR eye of a BeoLink Active? or can we have one IR transmitter sending all link commands to the same reciever?
I do not understand your question at all.
-
Which converterbox are you talking about?
-
Yes, the ML Gateway is the answer, with an adapted App, off course. You can control every device in every room. It connects on one side to the ML network and on the otherside to an ethernet network. So your iPhone can connect to it directly via WIFI and get 2 way communication. At the same time it can hold and stream music to an airport express connected

LinkPlayer, a software I developed does exactly what you want. It is still in Beta version. You can download it from here: http://web.me.com/philrobin/LinkPlayer/Change_Log/Change_Log.html Doc available here: http://web.me.com/philrobin/LinkPlayer/ As with any software in Beta stage, there could be some bugs that you are encouraged to report. p.

It is such a silly decision. 32 is rather small by today,'s standards for a main room TV, but for a bedroom, the bv8-32 was ideal!
