deaddruid: I've just acquired a Beovision MX2000. I know this TV has come in for stick in the past, but this is a nice example. However, it has no user guide, and a low hum on the audio. Can someone suggest where I might obtain User and Service manuals, in English? The manuals section of the site currently only has a German user guide :( Thank you

In 1976, a 4002 cost about £240. A really good one could maybe get the same these days! If it had the optional CD4 decoder, rather more. That is about $500 at today's prices. Very variable though - some go for less than £100.

Mine is working with a Beolink 1000 ok. And with a Beo4 in the main room. Leopard and iTunes 7.5. I use a PowerMac G5 if that makes a difference.

The problem with early LCD sets is that the picture is simply not that great. The technology is moving all the time so today it is reaching a point where it is almost acceptable to my eyes! One that is 3 years old is probably not - to me! However each of us is different and if you find the picture OK, and the price is good, then I am unaware of any

Once again, all about figures! The 2400 was always described as a 30W per channel amplifier but would peak at 75W into low impedances - the sign of a well designed amplifier. The 4500 was described as having 55W a channel - but that is music power - I would equate it to about 25W and it won't peak the way a 2400 will. However the difference in volume

You can no doubt find a cheaper one but if it works and the 3800s are in good condition, I would regard this as a definite bargain!
