What do we think about a group of experts convening to produce a list of second hand values for commonly sold items. Clearly this would only be a guide but it might be helpful. We could band the values in categories - Boxed, Mint, Good, Fir and car boot! Any volunteers to help? I would suggest setting up a file somewhere first and building up a database

Very surprised that the other store didn't trial you a set! I would go for the 9 as I prefer plasma pictures. Assuming your room will take it! I know it is more but you will have the best B&O make and a set that is so different to anything else on the market!

The Pentas have plastic catches which hold the frets on. It is a question of depressing them through the fabric and them pulling the frame forward. I broke two of mine doing this so am probably not the best person to give advice though!!

I would strongly consider looking for some used Beolab 5s. The 9s are fine but the 5s are just so much better. If you are very serious about your music, and it sounds as if you are, you will not regret it.

There are some basic schematics on site already - but rather poorly scanned. I am sure anything is a boost!

I am sure it will be fine! Just don't run it into clipping and make sure it doesn't get too hot. Another even better amplifier from this era is the Beomaster 2200. Actually far better than the 2400 but now much cheaper and unregarded. Find one of these and be very surprised!! The 2400 has the disadvantage of being really quite tight in the box

Just put the service manual for the Beolab 3000/4500/5000 on site. I have been adding slowly to the manual pile. The user manuals for the MX2000 in English and the Beomaster 4400 are also now on. Working my way up to the MX1500 service manual!
