  • Re: Beolab 3500 powerlink?

The latest BL3500 does have a powerlink socket. However, it's still a 2 channel speaker, and the center speaker is a single channel. I suppose you could customize a cable to send the one center channel down both L and R of the powerlink. Stan

  • Re: How good is a BV8 with an SD source?

This is slightly off-topic, but seems like as good a place as any to share a recent observation of mine. My 40-in Mitsu tube just died, and I bought a ~$800.00 37-in Toshiba LCD. I actually bought it for my bedroom so price was far more important than picture quality, but when the big tube died, I thought I'd give it a try. It's in a large room

My dealer quoted me 350 USD for the ML option. Stan

  • Re: Beoport Box / PC2 Box

In the old forum, somebody said that port was for "line-out". I tried to use it once, but it did not work. Then again, I didn't mess with it that much so it could be that I did something wrong, not that it definitely doesn't work. Stan

  • Re: Free Beo5 !!

This is just in the UK, correct? I'm *this* close to buying a BL3500 - just need to check out those pesky installation costs first. However, I've heard nothing of this offer in the US. Stan

  • Re: Calling all ML active experts

Success! "PC" on the beo4 was the trick. However, when I listen to CD/Radio through the link, then switch to PC, the sources are blended. I must turn off the master source, then turn on PC. Going from PC to master-source is fine. I notice my Active has a sticker on it that says "SW 1.1". Anybody know if there's a new version

The Stig - ver. 1.7: Have you remembered to press PC on your beo4? I believe this is the missing piece. I figured there was something I needed to do to activate, but everything I pressed just controlled the master unit. I didn't think of trying PC (duh!). Thanks again. Stan

  • Re: Calling all ML active experts

Is the cable connecting the non-B&O source to the active's PC input a standard AUX input (like one uses to connect auxillary components to a Beosound)? I have my active connected to my BS9000 via ML. Airport express (for test purposes) connected to the PC port of the active (using RCA-DIN Aux input cable). Speakers and IR also connected. Made

  • Re: Bang & Olufsen Cuts Profit Outlook (Update)

Mr10Percent: The distribution of population who do buy mainstream AV's (£1000 - 1500 panels and players) are going to have a far greater economic impact than a few low volume B&O sales. Sony, Pioneeer and Samsung etc..are going to struggle to cut capacity, will have invested very heavily in mass production facilities during the boom and

  • Calling all ML active experts

I want to hook my BL4000s to a non-B&O TV. Problem, TV only has a fixed audio out. Solution: Run the TV audio output into the "pc input" of a ML active. Control volume via Beo4. Someday, run a ML cable to the location and get access to the rest of my B&O that's in another room (quite a distance away)... or possibly explore using
