i think one of the reasons that blu ray and hd dvd are struggling is that you really need a big tv to really show the difference between upscaled dvd and hi-def , most hd tv's are c. 32-40" and it's just not big enough ! the problem is - who on earth wants a 60+ inch monster in their house that will look dominate the room and probably look

the picture on my avant via rgb from a freeview digi box is as sharp , natural and impressive as a blu ray on one of my bravias nuff said if only bno made an avant with an lcd i'd buy one tomorrow
