I believe the buffer size in the latest iPods is now 64 mb, or at least it was in my video iPod. It may now be even larger in the latest iPods. I personally find 256 kbps AAC or 320 kbps MP3 to be perfectly good quality, and while I would prefer not to, I have listened to music at 192 kbps AAC. 128 is frankly awful but it's better to enjoy good music

What about future expandability? BeoMedia 1 which comes 'as-is', versus a BeoMaster 5 which gives you the capability of turning it into a BeoSound 5 should you want to, and is also more future proof in the form of much more powerful internals.

The Apple TV has no composite out (or at least, the only way to get composite out from the Apple TV really requires some fiddly work.

Toby: I wonder what they sound like? Destructive interference galore = comb filtering. It'll probably sound awful.

It's not really an improvement, just a modification. I wouldn't do it tbh, I trust B&O's engineers.

As Peter says - on top of that, I can hardly see anybody genuinely using 110w long term. Most of the time you'll be using less than 15w!.

Bear in mind that the 8000s are capable of very high volumes, wheras the little 608, as good as it is - isn't! FWIW, I've always found two subwoofers to be much better than one in terms of sound quality, with one handling left and one handling right.

I would go with the 7-4 purely on design. Also, the only way of mounting a BeoLab 10 under a 7-40 is with the special bracket. Sonically, the differences between the two speakers are next to non-existent. The only difference is with the acoustic lens which is slightly different on the BeoLab 10, which isn't for better or worse really.

The flying controller thing was quite widespread at first I think! Nintendo even acknowledged it I believe...

The BeoSystem 3 is modular so there is a possibility that you could upgrade, but it's then also possible you won't be able to! I'd wait and see, your dealer may always offer a part exchange too...
