Interesting - was the back of the arm cover aluminium as well? I imagine an 8000 system with all aluminium finish instead of black - would be something to see!

Just noticed that the nice chaps at Beocentral have now added links from all the products listed to our product pages. Beocentral offer a very technical and accurate desription of products which is immensely informative. I think BeoWorld has the opportunity to add a slightly more user based slant - so we need reviews! Think of Beocentral as the Encyclopaedia

Agree - the S45 and S45-2 were much the same in performance - the S45-2 has the flat back and extra metal trim. These two are three way speakers. The later S45 from the later Uniphase models is a two way speaker and replaced the S30 in the range. The nomenclature changed partly due to B&O recalculating power outputs and hence having to increase

Agree - gave up squash about 20 years ago! I play tennis instead!

Depends on your definition of best. The VX5000 was the most advanced but was prone to break down due to overheating. The VX5500 cured this by removing all the clever electronic extras that no-one used anyway! The VX7000 was simpler still but was probably the most reliable. I have a number of VCRs. The best made one is probably the V2000 one! However try another tape and wind and rewind it before trying to play. I guess the odd tape as knocked it out somehow. The AV9000 my daughter uses did the same and was fixed by the above trick.

Write some reviews then! Two MA-X C90 tapes sealed in original packaging waiting to be won! I need some comepetition though - reviews on any B&O tape player looked for!
