  • Re: Short cutting Beolink 1000

I think I have put a service manual for the BL1000 on site - look in the MX1500 service book as I think it is mentioned!!

Welcome back! I am afraid I have no useful suggestions for the 9500 system - I have one on top of a bookcase looking for a home! Just don't want to part with it!! We clearly will need pictures on site of your exciting install! Best new gadget - iPod Touch which controls my N.Music!

  • Re: Beo sound

The Ouverture would be the obvious choice though a 9300 would allow you to use some passive speakers whilst waiting to get some Beolabs. However a Beosystem 6500/7000 would be an interesting alternative and would allow the easy provision of a turntable should you wish to get some of the rarer jazz albums only available on vinyl. Are you going to use

I would take the top off. I have found the service manual - quite detailed and a fair amount of detail about the tape mechanism. You will need to join as a silver or gold member to access it. Let me know if you plan to join as I will make it a priority to scan it! It will take an evening!

I think some products are rebadged - the BS6 being a case in point but it has also been recased in nice materials and the electronics have had a make over. Other products like the Beo5 shows true flare - the buttons on the screen have to be experienced - better in operation than the iTouch if not as useful

  • Re: beogram 1200

Rubber ring often used as an oil seal in automotive parts. Can be cut and then superglued to the correct size.

I believe is is round. B&O did actually make some a while ago but they will have gone by now. I know some people use large O rings cut to the correct size if you cannot get one.

  • Re: Soundproof's Guide for using iPhone or iPod Touch as a remote!

I think the differences can be seen! We have a number of Peters, Alexs and Davids as well of course Eds. I wouldn't worry about it!

  • Re: BeoSound 6

The BS6 offers a few things not seen in another player. The quality of materials used is very high and this is a boutique type product where the feel of a product is very imprtant. It lso does offer good sound quality, probably better than the iPod Photo which was a disappointment compared to the earlier iPods in this regard. However the latest iPods
