The Bose is more of a competitor for the Beosound 1 in that it is a self contained system. Materials used are a fair bit cheaper and the remote supplied is also very cheap compared to the Beo4. Actually the US Avant is very different to the EU model and the US MX5000 is also quite an oddball! However I don't think this is going to be a problem. The output of the LaserDisc machine will be the make or break! If you have component out then I don't think there will be a problem and S-VHS should be fine as well. Even composite will work

beocentre: Re-badging video recorders is an old B&o trick, the Beocord V3000 is a dead ringer for a Hitachi machine, then they didn't even bother to change the casing. Don't you have the normal aerial going into the AV9000 and the RF going to the link room. The only difference is that the link rooms will use V.Aux for the Sky as opposed to DTV/SAT.

Why don't you attach the Sky box via SCART into the AV socket? That is how I run mine. To be fair, I don't have it linked though but that should work. I don't have an aerial between the Sky box and the AV9000.
