Mani, as long as you are connecting them to a variable-output phono/RCA line-level connection from your TV you will have no real problems. The BL-8000 has phono/RCA sockets right next to the normal PowerLink. Have at! Russ

Hi Thomas, While Trip is correct (not at all unusual for him), you must focus on his first point. Even the fully ptioned Avants (including the BS-1 based Avant-US) have only 1 working Digital TV input, and that only operates at 480p. You are, of course, free to use an Apple TV with the RGB input on the Avant, but you may have to decide how you will

AV-7000 can not operate in 2-way mode, so the entire rationale for having the BeoLink 7000 gets rather lost. If you just love the BL-7000 that much, then of course, you need to get one while you still can, they are lovely things. Russ

Thank you Swiss, and now I'm going to disagree with you too. In so far as you gave your friends complete systems, and they used transformers to convert power, I will agree that that may well work (even in the UK), the original question here involved mixing handsets from the UK with handsets from the US. That won't work, regardless of how many

Jandyt: Are you sure about that, Russ? I think they are all 2.4Ghz but there is some other issue why UK ones wont work in USA. Andy T. Pretty sure Andy, the UK specsheet indicates the DECT system. Russ

beored: ...not sure I understand the tone issue - as you however correctly point out I would much prefer to test it, but not possible at my location. red Red, the issue here is referred to the term 'voice matching' and is an attempt to deal with differences in the way certain types/families of speakers sound in relation to one another. 355f: TripEnglish: There is a great deal of depth to this post. What you refer to in the last paragraph is 'black crush' in an effort to improve black. one loses the detail It is very relevant that you have chosen the D9 screen to compare quality and black levels- the D9HD screen scores highly in this area, which was later lost on the 1080 screen

Bingo: Six months? The new Pasaonic plasma's with the much higher contrast are out now? Why does B&O wait so long?? Bingo, I read 355f to mean that the currently available D-10 panels from Panasonic, are little different from the outgoing D9 panels, and that there is something else coming in 6 months or so. Russ

This will be the issue. The BS-1/BV-4 always want to use one particular input port, and the connection type used on that port has not been consistent, you were using the 'wrong' one. as to the green picture, yes I've seen that too, and you need to change the PC/RGB setting on the appropriate input port. I changed 2 sets of cables before
