  • Re: beovision 7 upgrade

moxxey: As I've mentioned before, a member of my family has a brand new Samsung 32" LCD. The picture quality is terrible, despite the panel being an updated version of the panel in my old MK1 BV7-32. Why? It's all to do with the incoming source and the picture processing behind the panel. Even my local Samsung dealer (Moss of Bath) admitted

  • Re: BV9 1080p---how well does it deal with SD?

TerryM: I have yet to read a review of a full HD TV wherein it's performance with SD material has not been heavily criticised. Now that the full HD BV9 is in the hands of some (lucky) members, how does it cope with SD material, particularly off air broadcasts? I look forward to opinions. Terry. well of course anyone who has just bought a BV9 is hardly

  • Re: HDMI 1.3 and 1080p/24 signals on the Beovision 4 & 9

talisman: Does anybody know; If B&O plans to soon uppgrade to HDMI 1.3 on the (Beovision 4 50 / Beosystem 3) and handle 1080p/24 signals ? I have heard that panasonic will begin implementing this ability in their 2008 models plasma panels and B&O plasma panels are made by panasonic. Does anybody have spec for the new 2007 FULL HD Beovision 4

  • Re: IFA Berlin

tom: The IFA in Berlin starts this weekend. I just checked their site, and I was a little surprised not to find B&O at such an important exhibition. Any comments/ explications? B&O often dont exhibit at what are considered to be important fairs and with the ever rising costs many companies are thinking twice about it. As an exhibitor I can tell

  • Re: Beosystem 3 & Third party panels

frank2u: After one has done the setup for the screen, does anybody really need the contrast and colour functions again? I never used them as I had the Avant. And I never use them now. Is there a difference between the DVDs? Or DVD and cable? You are correct I never even look at the settings on the BV4. I was just disspointed that I was unable to get

  • Re: Beosystem 3 & Third party panels

frank2u: When you nean the contrast and colour functions you are right. But it is possible to control the on/off function for a handful screens. I don't know exactly the screens but I have seen them in the PUC software at my dealer. The Sony Screen is available and it is working with on and off. Frank Well i suppose what im trying to say is that

  • Re: Beosystem 3 & Third party panels

Goldfrog88: Karsten, is the list of panels available on the Internet? I'd like to know if the Sharp LC-45GX is there; or something similar of Sharp's. The reason for my original post is that it would seem B&O have made it very difficult to control anything other than the BV4 or the panasonic commercial screen on which it is based- this of

  • Re: DAB Radio

Alex: Considering how unpredictable technology is, I think B&O have done the best job possible. The tuner is a modular part of the BeoSound 4, and there's not much else can be done on top of that to ensure that the as-yet-unknown technology can be integrated. well the technology concerned is known and if B&O lets just hopem B&O is not

  • Re: DAB Radio

NickinBath: For your reassurance, however, bear in mind that B&O have gone for the careful modular route in BeoSound 4 (some countries opt for the DAB module and some don't) so that presumably a later version of DAB-or-whatever-it-ends-up-being-called would be addable/upgradable. Don't expect B&O to be at the forefront of offering it

  • Re: DAB Radio

Goldfrog88: Guys, I'm thinking of upgrading my Ouverture to a Beosound 4. which would allow me to access NMUSIC and NRADIO from my BeoPort and introduce me to DAB radio (I hope). I read on a website that AAC+ is coming to DAB radio in a couple of years. Can anyone fill me in on the state of play here. For example, will the B&O DAB radio board
