What essentially is the difference between the two? Is one with speakers and one without? Is it possible to connect passive speakers to the 2500 in any way??

Managed to sort out which wire goes where, only thing is I have a Din plug from a Tape deck, would that be fine? EDIT: hmmm Right channel plays, left not really maybe the wiring isn't right after all!!!

Hi Looked on the service manual but of course I can't make head or tail of where the wires go!!! I have: 1 x black coated wire surrounded by more wire 1 x Clear coated wire surrounded by more wire 1 x Wire with no coating!! lol!!!! Anyone able to clarify for me in VERY easy terms, I'll appreciate it a lot!!!

It was the famous BM 1900 that I saw at my moms friends place. That was in the early 90's!! WOW!! She ended up giving it to me with a BG 4002, Beocord 2400 and S55 speakers. Luckiest day of my life. Of course I still have them and love them
