This discussion is really helpful because it demonstrates to B&O that they have a confused marketing strategy that in turn confuses the consumer. TV is not my priority. I want great sound and I want that sound from the best speakers that I can afford. For me, its the Beolab 5s without question. Here is the dilemma. It is taking me about 2 years

Wow! This thread is indeed a tale of woe. Since my experiences with Bang&Olufsen goes back in time a little more than most on this forum, I have a few observations. My first B&O purchase was at an audiophile dealer who also sold B&O in a separate room. When I asked to see a Beomaster 5000, I was given several reasons why it wasn't as

Beobird: mobeyone: I like!!!! but have to agree that it is basically a revamped AV9000.. Wonder how much this will cost? This was posted before on the Dutch forum. There were two prices. A American site mentioned a pricetag of 7500,- dollars for the 50" (around 5000,- euro's) and a Swedish site with a pricetag around 14000,- euro's. Both

I joined Beoworld as a gold member mainly to access the manuals. I enjoy reading the various postings and occasionally post a comment. I usually look at Beoworld at least once a day. As for Bling, we could discuss that forever. I have always considered B&O design as modernist in style. However on the B&O site, products are featured sometimes

soundproof: linder: I considered the iPhone calculator as a homage to Dieter Rams. Mr Rams did not influence the design of the iPhone. He-he. I don't think anyone has said Mr Rams designed the iPhone, the discussion there relates to the UI of the calculator pad. At any rate, what we're also looking at is the fact that certain functions/uses

Soundproof, You can type faster than me. Yes the radio at first glance looks like a design influence. However early transistor radios were all kind of the same design except Dieter Rams did it in white with more simplicity. Yellow was a big color then.

I am definitely not convinced by this article. When I purchased the iPhone, I recognized the calculator was the same as the Dieter Rams calculator design. I have 2 of those calculators which were made by Braun. Braun is part of the Gillette company who I can't imagine would let Apple use that design without permission. I considered the iPhone calculator

mbee: linder: Thanks for the encouragement. I do have another Mac which is my main computer at home. The MacBook Air will be for traveling and for managing iTunes music and photos which are stored on a remote hard drive. Hi Linder, I was thinking of doing so with my iTunes library, but what happens when you launch iTunes without the drive? If there

GuyHui : Peter: Have you seen Time Capsule? - now that is clever! Arrrff, Peter, I should have waited a little while before I got my 2007 My Book Studio Edition external hard drive (Western Digital). Nice but no way to use it via Airport unlike the Time Capsule . But that's OK as I fancy the look of the My Book Studio Edition. Guy For a future consideration

The Beonic Man: Very impressive piece of kit. I am not usually that interested in Apple products; iPod, iTouch, iPhone etc., but a Macbook might interest me for my computing needs. I'll keep my options open and if its functionality matches its looks then I might get one. Like the thin factor though, that's an excellent effort indeed from Apple
