• Re: 4002 suspension adjustment

From what I remember (it's been a while since I worked on one of these) all of the adjustments are done from above - like adjusting tappets on a car engine. There should be no need to access anything under the leaf springs. Chris.

  • Re: Need advice about value of old B&O gear

Sell the terminal 5000 on its own offered on a worldwide ebay auction. Very sought after due to the size of the MCP 5000 (which isn't really for easy every day use) these are not country specific so will work with any BM5000 anywhere. As for the rest. I would agree with Mika. Chris.

  • Re: Restoring teak speaker cabinets

It may prove easier to bleach the whole top panel & then stain back to the colour you need Craig. You may even find the mark disapperas with white spirit once the lacquer is removed. Fine steel wool should do the job. Chris.

  • Re: Restoring teak speaker cabinets

I'd start with some steel wool dipped in white spirit to remove the original lacquer & see how apparent the water mark is when you're back to bare wood. Don't use caustic soda - it will break down the glue holding the veneer on if it penetrates + it is really nasty stuff & can burn you without knowing if you don't clean it off

  • Re: beomaster 3300 blown?

While you're in Maplins buy some 2 pin DIN speaker cables, I too suspect that is your problem. They sell moulded ones with male plugs & bare wires for connecting to any make of speaker or ones with male & female plugs for most B&O speakers. Chris.
Not sure what formula we have, but it appears to be the right one!
I do! Members + Beoworld = best forum on the net I agree with the previous comments, the membership is brilliantly knowledgable & unerringly selflessly helpful that it is becoming increasingly difficult to single out any one person. • Rare reel to reel?

I don't know much about the reel to reel BeoCords but there's a rather nice looking WHITE one on ebay UK. Never seen them for sale in white so I'm assuming they are quite rare. Chris.
