Probably lack of a decent seal in the cylinder iteself. This would have originally been accomplished with some sort of hydraulic based oil I believe. Carefully pull the plunger out (after releasing the upper arm from pivot), give it a good clean, then use a small drop of quality sewing machine oil - not 3in1!!! That should sort it!

Looks super Jacques - how did you sort the thrust bearing out in the end? hehe just been to collect a Beocentre 9000. Seem to be non stop B&O at the moment for me :)

Is there actually a 'circuit' in this thing? I use to achieve a cool surround effect by connecting two speakers across the positive speaker outputs and having all balance control set to neutral as possible - this mean't only differences in the channels came through the rear (no dialogue or other mono sounds) and the effect could be remarkably

That is not very B&O at all to my eyes, so would not like to see it on the consumer market, although would like to see something similar for a professional environment!

tbh sounds like something is either not conforming to standards or faulty. You could of course change the wireless channel as this might help... Personally I have NEVER had a problem with my wireless connection always a great signal never drops no complaints :) Again poeple having problems should try changing channels or moving elsewhere. Of course

type speaker din into ebay there are plenty of options including pre-wired or screw terminal etc.

Isn't this either too high eht or a blanking problem Lee? I personally wouldn't have thought the tube could force this issue but then from what I understand the Avant tube is a strange and troublesome beast!
