jk1002: >> why don't they have a small museum of bno in every shop - showing off what they've achieved over the years , maybe have a smaller version of the massive book they do - give it away<< They have or had something like this in Munich if I remember correct. I don't know if this was temporary or not. They had different products

BeoLogisch, as imperfect as the Apple/B&O analogy is, there isn't a better one anywhere in Consumer Electronics. For being a 'big' company, Apple is constantly mocked for having a market share of less than 10% of computers sold, mocked for being too expensive, mocked for making seemingly odd choices (original iMac: no removeable magnetic

Dude1, I'm glad you love the passion here, because you're about to get passionately flamed for continuing ot use 'BangVisions' instead of 'BeoVisions'. <Nomex suit on> Russ

I think that you'll find that 'Video = NO display' as it might be too distracting in a darkened rooom. Russ

The Avant US is basically a BeoSystem 1, and a pair of BeoLab 4000's built into a cabinet with a 30" tube. What too often gets lost in all of the hue-and-cry about HDTV, and 'True HDTV' and God-knows-what the next big thing is that Bang & Olufsen will 'miss', is this simple fact: at normal TV viewing distances (2-3 meters

Cowtwn, the prevailing sentiment is that if you are using the Panasic MONITOR and attach the RS-232 connection as well as the DVI video cable, the BS-3 will treat it exactly as it does the Panny's cousin BV-4. Chrisped, when using a BV-4, the panel comes with a sticker on the back with a list of calibrated settings which are then entered into the

Here in this thread, in 2 consecutive posts, we have one of the greates issues we have discussed properly encapsulated for us: martin01: At start, B&O should make Beosystem 3 full 1080p/24 fprs support, and the same for BV7-40 and Beovision 4/9. B&O needs to make 120hz-screens with 24 fprs-support to get a "judder"-free Blu-ray picture

Older BS-9000's (mine's from Jan, 1997) can get just far enough out of alignment between the sled and the 'holding clamps' that they begin to get 'picky' as you say. Mine got so that it would refuse to play some commercially purchased CDs...but always the same ones. Very strange. I hade the sled adjusted, andeverything is fine

JK, you almost gave me a heart attack! Please be more clear in your headline writing. This is the 'Current' magalog. It's been out for months. When you said 'new', well.... Russ

More food for thought on this topic.... Last night I brought home a new AppleTV and connected it to an Avant/US which has the 4.7 software installed, and the 4.7j CCDB. Attached to the STB input, everything works, everything. I did not have to 'unpair' the remote. I just had to struggle for a few minutes getting the correct resolution output
