It doesn't appear to be askew (or as much) in the new pics. Might the inheritor have tried to do something (pulling on the mech) in an attempt to disassemble for pics or otherwise? ...or has he put it back together? Also, are the pulley(s) missing for the transit drive? (last of the new pics).

1.) My freshly married wife decided to make me a sweet potato to accompany a nice steak dinner. She knew how I liked them... lots of butter and brown sugar/cinnamon.
